Birch Crossing Seeks to Add 172 Units

Spokane, WA based D&B Partners LLC is seeking to annex and rezone 13.38 acres in Victor, ID off of Baseline Road and Birch Street. The parcel is currently zoned as Teton County: AOI-20, Zone-2, making the minimum lot size 20 acres. D&B Partners LLC wants to annex this parcel into the City of Victor and change the zoning to RS-3 Single & Two Family and RM-1 & RM-2 Residential Multi-Family to develop 172 units on 10 acres of land. Not only is this application coming while our housing market is already saturated with multifamily housing, but also comes at a time admist a lawsuit that raises the question of if Victor even has the capacity to connect a development this size to a wastewater treatment system. This application is out of touch with what our community truly needs and completely disregards our rural character.

The Victor Planning and Zoning Commission will be having a public hearing tonight, March 19th, at 7:00pm to discuss this application. Public comments can be given in person; if you are planning on attending virtually, please keep in mind that the City of Victor does not allow any public comments over Zoom unless you have been granted permission by city staff before the meeting.
