A Few Action Items from our 2022 Agenda

  1. Land Development Code approval by the BOCC. As you know, the Teton County Planning and Zoning Commission reviewed and reviewed and reviewed the current draft of the land use code, took into consideration public comment both written and in public forums, and will send the draft code, with recommendations, to county commissioners to review the document, hold public hearings, and hopefully adopt this code within the next few months. This is a critical priority for not only our organization, but for the entire community.
  2. Present facts. Our approach is to provide facts not only to you, our members, but also to the public through social media, advertising, and the other communication vehicles as they arise. In our efforts, we will present not only the facts, but also address any misinformation that might be disseminated. We remain resolute and steadfast in providing factual information and fair analysis to respective audiences.
  3. Monitor all new and current development projects. This has always been our core focus and will continue to be so. As you know, this is an unprecedented development and building era in our county. There is a great deal of work to do, work which will take a significant amount of staff time, but must be done.
  4. Collaborate valley wide. We will continue to work in collaboration with the community, local governments, and nonprofits to protect and preserve Teton Valley.

    9. Driggs, Victor, Tetonia, Teton County=Active Projects – Active Monitoring

Our goal of raising $175,000 will help us follow and stay involved in the major issues that face our valley and lie within the parameters of our mission. At this point in our valley’s history, monitoring development and maintaining the reasons we are here is of utmost importance and as the only organization poised to monitor these issues, we need to be on point. It’s not that change is not going to happen - it will, but it is our mission to make sure it happens responsibly.
