25 Years Strong

In December 2001, Valley Advocates for Responsible Development was formed in an effort to protect wetlands in Teton Valley. Since then, our organization has served as an educational resource for our entire community. We have worked to facilitate smart growth across the Valley and to empower community members to get involved in the decision-making processes.

The work our dedicated team has been able to accomplish over 25 years is only possible because of you! We stand with you to speak up for solid projects that will add to community vibrancy; we stand with you to speak out against irresponsible developments that fail to comply with state and local planning laws; we collaborate with local, regional, and national partners to make sure public lands stay in the hands of the public; and we help our neighbors craft comment letters and prepare verbal testimony for public hearings. Our day-to-day tasks are ever-changing and our team of professionals are ready for anything! Despite the diversity within our work, one constant holds: we are advocates driven to shape policy, guide development, and provide outreach to preserve natural resources, protect our rural character, and promote vibrant communities in Teton Valley through civic action.

Over the lifetime of our organization, we have protected thousands of acres from being lost to irresponsible development—however, this feat is not our own. From our original founders to our current team, to our collaborators and our supporters, and to the citizens of Teton Valley, we all play an essential role in responsible land stewardship. Thank YOU for your dedication. We look forward to our next 25 years and continuing to advocate for all that makes Teton Valley home.
